Friday night I played in my first student organ recital. I played Prelude and Fugue in G Minor by Bach and I am a Child of God arranged by Douglas Bush. I was excited to play, but it feels nice to have the recital done. My teacher has been wonderful to work with and I am excited to continue learning to be a better organist.
This tracker organ (a real pipe organ) took three years to build and was built in the 70's by the Bigelow company in American Fork. It has wonderful sound and is a neat instrument. The wood carvings/casings were completed just a few years ago and were all hand-carved.
