This may seem a little gruesome, but the Body Worlds exhibit at the Salt Lake City Library is awesome! If you get queasy over this stuff, I say suck it up and go. It is so cool! I was able to go last Saturday with some people from work, and we spent over two fascinating hours there. The exhibits travel around the country and are made up of people who donate their bodies for science purposes. Basically, the process of "plastination" that is done to these bodies involves taking out all the degradable stuff of the body and replacing it with plastic components, without losing its shape or color. A man named Gunther von Hagens, who grew up in Gera, East Germany, came up with the process. I was fascinated by his story since he grew up in the south area of the Berlin Mission, where I served. He tried to escape from East Germany in 1968, but was caught and put in prison. He was bailed out for 40,000 Marks, roughly $20,000. He then went to medical school in Luebeck, West Germany, and invented the process of "plastination" in 1977. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunther_Von_Hagens for more info.

Happy Birthday Jess!
Definitely wiser, although he says he doesn't feel older. We headed up to Idaho for Jess' birthday and to go to Camille and John's wedding reception. Jess had a good birthday. We ate at... you guessed it... SIZZLER, watched sports, and went to a movie for free (thank you work). I also had him guess what each present was and what he would do with it (eat it, wear it, play with it, etc.). I did okay in that area this year... :) No surge protectors. Jess will not let me live it down that I wrapped up a surge protector I bought (because we needed one) for his birthday the first year we were married. Every year when I ask him what he would like for his birthday, he tells me, "A surge protector, please."
Camille and John's Wedding
I was able to go to Salt Lake for Camille, Jess' cousin, and John's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, and they are a neat couple. Camille introduced John to the church.
After the wedding, Jess met up with his family and I after finishing a certification class he needed. We all got together and had fun swimming, eating pizza, and watching the kids.

Little Parasite
Something about opening the refrigerator the other morning just didn't sit well with my stomach. Let's just say I might have a parasite...
Tee hee hee!
Other than a couple of days, I have been feeling very good, eating like a horse, and am cruising into the 2ND TRIMESTER, even though this parasite doesn't quite seem real. I'm sure he or she will feel real soon enough. Our due date is April 30th/May 1st. We're way excited!
Well, more later. Just wanted to give everyone an update.

Canning
This year, I only canned tomatoes, since we still have peaches and pears from last year. I really enjoy canning, and all but one out of 21 quarts sealed! :)
Weekend with Family and Ashley's Sweet 16th
My sister Ashley is finally 16. Although she looks more like she is 22, she is barely 16. But, she can now drive at night without getting tickets....

Christine tagged me, and reminded me in a comment, so I had better get a move on this…
The Rules are....tell about 6 quirks of yours & then tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same, be sure to leave a comment to let them know.
1. Exploring a new area in town, or a new place is one of my quirks. I just really enjoy looking around and getting a feel for places I have never been. I like to run in different neighborhoods and see all the different yards and houses. I like to go into shops just to see what it is like inside and to say I have been there. Jess calls me “Sheena the Explorer.”
2. I make a “To-Do” list nearly every day.
3. I hate grocery shopping, but the worst part is hauling all the stuff up 1 ½ flights of stairs. It’s really not that far, but when you only grocery shop every three or four weeks, these can be quite the trips up and down the stairs and out to the car. It reminds me of shopping on P-days in Rostock, Germany, during my mission, when Analisa and I would use our suitcases to haul groceries ¼ of a mile to our apartment and up 3 flights of stairs. Secretly, I am always hoping one of our neighbors will take pity and help me, and once in a while someone helps. :)
4. Attending sporting events with a good book or a girl to talk to is so much more enjoyable.
5. I do not like getting into an unmade bed. Before I go to sleep at night, if the bed hasn’t been made, I make it, get ready for bed, then get in my nice and neatly made bed.
6. Trying out a restaurant is something I really like. I don’t like going to the same place over and over again. I am struggling with Sizzler. We go there a lot, because when it is Jess’ turn to pick where we eat out, that is where we go… Hey, at least the salad bar is always good.
I tag Tricia, Megan D., Shanna, Megan E., and Lisa K.
