Florida, July 2007

Jess, Jackson, and Brent at Seaworld in Orlando.

Jess and cute nephew Jackson, enjoying Sea World. July 3, 2007.

How many of you have pictures of Shamu? Probably everyone, but they are still classic.

The Shamu show.

Shanna, Jackson, and Jess.

We were all excited we had an excuse to ride the carousel with Jackson.

Jess and I in front of the sea lion and bird exhibit.

Now that's the way to tan...

The Dolphin and bird show. This is a dolphin/whale.

Wouldn't it be neat to be able to jump like that?

The "real" flamingos at Sea World. We had a blast at Sea World. The best part was the "Kraken," probably the most fun roller coast any of us have ever been on. It was a great day at Sea World!

Here we are at St. Augustine beach eating lunch. The wind was blowing, but out on the beach it was wonderful!

The water temperature was perfect, and Jess and I walked up the beach a ways and enjoyed the feeling of sand and water under our feet.

Alligator off the side of a main road. The roads are blockaded by cement barriers to keep the 'gators from coming onto the road, but you can spot them close to the barriers.

We went to the University of Florida's Butterfly museum which was pretty neat. A couple of them landed on us.

It's feedin' time! The butterflies soak up the sugar from this cut up fruit.

Butterflies only live a couple of weeks. This one is towards the end of its life-span. The wings get chopped up just from flying around and hitting leaves once in a while.

A turtle we spotted in Alice Lake, on the University of Florida Campus.

There is no swimming allowed in this lake. See the following picture...

Cool spider we found in front of Shanna and Brent's house.

Eating a good southern meal at the Ivy House, outside of Gainsville.
