Dayton Air Force Museum & More Cincinnati

The one thing my dad wanted to do while visiting was to see the National Air Force Museum in Dayton. We have been once before, but it is so huge it is interesting every time you go. I finally found the bomber like the one my grandpa flew in as a gunner during WWII, a B17. It's not like it's small or anything...

My parents had their first taste of Chic-Fil-A in Dayton, where my mom became addicted... :) We were also able to go up to Columbus and explore one day too. The guys checked out the OSU campus and my mom and I were able to see a few of the fun shops in the Short North arts area.
My mom wanted to see more of the different areas of Cincinnati, so we explored here too. The homes in the different areas each have a different look. Here is downtown and Over-the-Rhine (which was first settled by Germans, thus the name).

Downtown

OTR (Over-the-Rhine)--the largest area of old Italian architecture in the country. This is obviously just a few buildings of hundreds.

View of the Ohio river from Over-the-Rhine and the bridge that connects right to Newport, KY
Mansions on Madison Road, Madisonville (in the hills above downtown and Over-the-Rhine

A lot of the homes in our area of Hyde Park/Oakley look like this. And there's lots more that we were able to see with my parents, and lots more we didn't get to see with them, but there's always next time! We had a great time with them and are very glad they were able to come out.
