The end of June, we were able to go on a fabulous bike ride with Kaye and Jess' aunt and cousin. It was a beautiful day and we loved this trail--a gentle 2% downhill grade all 15 miles.

Gorgeous northern Idaho and Montana pines

The Hiawatha Trail was a part of the Milwaukee Railroad from Chicago to Seattle. It has many of these trestles and also tunnels, the longest being about 1.5 miles. Bryce wasn't fond of that one.

Taking a break. Bryce rode in the bike trailer--it was a bumpy ride for him, but he loved it!

Yummmm... nothing better than chocolate covered pretzel on the trail.

Jess and Bryce on the trail

We were also able to stop in Wallace, ID and take a tour of the town and a silver mine. The entire town of Wallace is on the national historical register. Pretty cool.
