Florida, July 2007

Jess, Jackson, and Brent at Seaworld in Orlando.

Jess and cute nephew Jackson, enjoying Sea World. July 3, 2007.

How many of you have pictures of Shamu? Probably everyone, but they are still classic.

The Shamu show.

Shanna, Jackson, and Jess.

We were all excited we had an excuse to ride the carousel with Jackson.

Jess and I in front of the sea lion and bird exhibit.

Now that's the way to tan...

The Dolphin and bird show. This is a dolphin/whale.

Wouldn't it be neat to be able to jump like that?

The "real" flamingos at Sea World. We had a blast at Sea World. The best part was the "Kraken," probably the most fun roller coast any of us have ever been on. It was a great day at Sea World!

Here we are at St. Augustine beach eating lunch. The wind was blowing, but out on the beach it was wonderful!

The water temperature was perfect, and Jess and I walked up the beach a ways and enjoyed the feeling of sand and water under our feet.

Alligator off the side of a main road. The roads are blockaded by cement barriers to keep the 'gators from coming onto the road, but you can spot them close to the barriers.

We went to the University of Florida's Butterfly museum which was pretty neat. A couple of them landed on us.

It's feedin' time! The butterflies soak up the sugar from this cut up fruit.

Butterflies only live a couple of weeks. This one is towards the end of its life-span. The wings get chopped up just from flying around and hitting leaves once in a while.

A turtle we spotted in Alice Lake, on the University of Florida Campus.

There is no swimming allowed in this lake. See the following picture...

Cool spider we found in front of Shanna and Brent's house.

Eating a good southern meal at the Ivy House, outside of Gainsville.

Summer Activities 2007

At our work party.

We took a trip east to Vernal where we visited Sums (Brandon) and the family he is staying with there.

Driving into Manti, UT. I was able to go after work and meet my family and Teton 2nd Ward there for the Pageant.
My mom, sisters, and ward young women.

The end of the pageant is the best part--it always makes me cry, even though I have been four or five times. If you haven't been, go to the Manti Mormon Miracle Pageant.

Our BYU Ward campout.

Spring 2007

Easter at my house in Teton where aunts, uncles, grandma, and cousins gather.

Megan, Val, and Grandma Donnetta enjoying the sun.

We are test riding Amanda's new bike.

The guys
and the dolls.

There is definitely progress on the Rexburg Temple.

View out of our front window. You can see the 'Y' on the mountain.

Where we live, the top floor.

Our first Anniversary! Jess totally surprised me by telling me we were staying at La Quinta in Salt Lake. He even had me look up directions for how to get there. I was trying not to show any disappointment, especially when I saw La Quinta is out by the airport. When we got to SLC, Jess pulled up to Little America instead of driving out to La Quinta! It was a great surprise! We had a nice anniversary.

This picture was taking on the way up to the Y Mountain. We really did get up to the top, but our batteries for our camera died.

I was able to get LASIK and I love it! Don't worry, I didn't have to wear the eye shields for very long.

Jess 2007

Jess studies long and hard for the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) and he passes!
To the newest nurse in Utah, congrats!!!

Now he can burn his books. :)

Moab, March 2007

We took a little drive to Moab for my first half marathon. We went a day early so we could see some of the sights including Arches National Park. March is the perfect time to go; it was warmer than in Provo (which was stil cold in March believe it or not), but not too hot.

In front of the Three Gossips.

He makes it look soooo easy.

Look how huge the Balanced Rock really is!

Again, a piece of cake.

Sand Dune Arch.

Devil's Garden.

The Famous Arch that graces all Utah license plates.

The finish line of the Moab Half Marathon, St. Patrick's Day March 17, 2007 (thus the green bibs).

We got all the water, gatorade, fruit, and cookies we wanted after the race.

My very supportive husband and I. He ran the last mile with me to help me keep up a good pace!
