Christmas 2007

Our real Christmas tree from the mountains of "Lowe's."

The girls playing around, Christmas day.

Merry Christmas from us!
This is a picture of one of our first Christmas'. Who's do you think it is? (Leave guesses in comments area).

We went from this... long ago, to this...

Our first updated family picture for three years or so.

Christmas morming at Jess's house. Tomas the Train was a hit for Jess's nephew Jackson.

Brent, Shanna, and Jackson.

Yes! Jess got his stocking! And it was a good one! Thanks Santa!

Jess's favorite gift. My favorite was a surprise! A BOSE docking system for my iPod!

Jackson and his new animals.

We were both spoiled rotten by Santa.

This was a Kodak moment. Paul, Kaye, Brent, and Jackson, dancing to the music.

The guys playing around at at my house.

Christmas Acitivities

My dad took us snowmobiling above Ashton. We had a great time breaking a trail in the fresh powder. I managed to bury my snowmobile a couple of times though.

Claire is ready to go.

Oldest and youngest...

Dad and Jess loading the snowmobiles after a day of fun.

Happy Holidays!

We hope that everyone is having a great holiday season and getting ready for Christmas!

So this is where Jess and I currently work. I had a bunch of pictures to post on our blog, but our hard-drive crashed. :( So we will work on getting some more...

Great news!
Jess has completed his Bachelor's Degree!!!! Yay! And another 4.0 for the semester.
I successfully passed the Certified Nurse in the Operating Room exam on Saturday!!!

BYU vs. TCU. Word of advice: don't try to find parking on a weekday night for a football game....

Surgeon and farmgirl...

October 2007

Jess's sisters and mom in Idaho after the surprise snow storm that made it look and feel like Christmas.

Burr!

My good-looking husband.

Jess's Happy Birthday!!!! Opening the gifts from his family a little early. :)

The gals

Jess's nephew Jackson. :) Makes you want a slice of watermelon too.

Ethan enjoying the party.

One year older and wiser too.

Megan, Madi, Jess and I.

Connecticut and New York

Covidien (a medical supply company in North Haven, Connecticut) sent Nora, one of the ladies I work with, and I, along with 18 other nurses and techs across the nation to a conference where we toured the plant and learned about their products. Jess held down the fort at home and worked, even though I really wanted to pack him with me.

I did complete the conference and even slept through parts of it...

Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut

We stayed at a hotel right on Yale's campus. One afternoon I was able to explore a little bit and enjoy this beautiful and historical school.

From the conference in Connecticut, we took a train to Grand Central Station in New York (it only cost $14 one way, I was imnpressed) and were able to spend a couple of days in the Big Apple. Here we are in Times Square before the show that we went to.

On the Staten Island Ferry. We discovered that Staten Island is actually a lot bigger than one would think.

Great view from the ferry.

Staten Island bridge

Nora and a kind lady that gave us tips on New York safety. :)

Times Square from Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.

We met quite a few celebrities in New York.

Manhattan at night on a night city tour.

Ground Zero.

Ground Zero and the Deutsche Bank building that has too many carcinogens inside it to tear down. At this point, the city is just trying to keep it from falling to the ground and don't know what else to do with it.

Central Park lake. Does anyone know the real name?

Nora and I in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art. We spent about 3 hours inside and only saw a few corners of the museum. Go there with lots of time, and after a good meal.
