Corn on the Cob

This little guy LOVES his corn on the cob. He eats two at dinner, usually.

Birthday Boy!

Someone had a birthday... He loves his Lightning McQueen backpack! He opened one gift the night before his birthday.

On the big day, we met up with friends at the Cincinnati Museum Center and had a blast playing in the sandbox for 2 hours!

We enjoyed lunch and cupcakes with everyon.

Then after a much-needed nap, he opened gifts.

His one request was a John Deere tractor cake (I copied one similar to this on Pinterest), and he told Jess where to place the candles.

The Sights of Cincy

Amanda was able to come out and visit us in April. We had such a great time!
Here we are walking on the Purple People Bridge to cross the Ohio River and go from Ohio to Kentucky.

Cincinnati, from Newport, KY

On top of the Carew Tower, the 2nd tallest building in Cincinnati. Perfect day for the view.

At Fountain Square

Butterflies & Picasso

At the Krohn Conservatory Annual Butterfly Show

Coloring and cutting out a butterfly

They give out "flowers" so that you can catch butterflies

And an excursion through the Cincinnati Art Museum, where we did see works by Picasso and lots more

Cincinnati Parks

We went on a little hike that had a small, but very beautiful view of the Ohio River.

A flying caterpillar! Bryce was enthralled.

Turtle in the Back Yard

Back in April, I went outside to the garage to take out the trash while Bryce was napping and I saw a turtle by the garage door. I wanted him to see it, so I put it in the pool with some water. When he woke up, I took him outside to see the "surprise."

I love the look on his face when he saw the turtle.

We enjoyed the turtle for the afternoon and evening and then set him loose so he could "go back to his family" in the morning.

Dyeing eggs (after the fact--but he didn't know the difference!)

Happy Easter!

Yes! The Easter Bunny came!

Last Week

Bryce had a small surgery and was totally himself the next day, thank goodness! Everything went great!

This is his "Why won't you feed me???" face...

Bryce and I had quite the adventure when we took a bus downtown to see the Reds Opening Day Parade.

We had a great time but wished Jess could have come too!

No More Crib/Fire Fighter/Flying Kites

This boy is getting so big!!! No more crib (he helped me dismantle it) and he's busy fighting fires and flying kites!
